Prelim rounds -

These will be subject to specified 'play-by' dates. The first named player is the 'home' player although it is both players responsibility to agree time/ date/ venue. Should matches not be played by published dates then the organising committee reserves the right to determine match result. Depending on entries and which draw you are in, you may not need to play any matches for that draw prior to the finals weekend. At most you will have to play 2 preliminary matches per draw.

Explanation of Categories -

Open - Open to all players
Ladies - Ladies Open
Open B Grade - Open to all players who do not play in Shropshire County Division 1.
O35 - Open to all over the age of 35
O45 - Open to all over the age of 45
O55 - Open to all over the age of 55
Open Novice - Open to all who have not played team squash in Shropshire County.
Ladies Novice - Open to all novice ladies players who don't play team squash.
Racketball Open - Open to all

Finals Weekend -

We aim to play most matches on the weekend of April 4th / 5th. This is a great opportunity for members of clubs from all over the county to come together and play in the various categories. The finals weekend will be held at Shrewsbury Squash & Racketball Club, Sundorne Castle, Uffington, Shrewsbury SY4 4RR. Details on playtimes will be published once the preliminary rounds have been completed.

Pricing -

We aim to make this tournament accessible to everyone, and as such the pricing is made as competitive as possible. The costs are as follows:

1 Category Entry - £5
2 Category Entry - £8
3 Category Entry - £10

I.E. If you would like to enter the Open Squash & O35 Squash, the total cost would be £8. If you would like to also enter the Racketball Open, the total cost would be £10.

Host Club -

The Shropshire county closed this year is being hosted by Shrewsbury Squash & Racketball club. Entries will be open from 30th December to 19th January, with the opening preliminary games being played from the 26th January. Finals weekend is set for the first weekend of April, 4th / 5th.

There will be a plate competition for all draws, which means you are guaranteed a minimum of 2 matches per category you enter.

Entries open - Monday 30th December
Entries close - Sunday 19th January
Draws published - Sunday 26th January.

In addition, a WhatsApp Group will be created for any general questions people have, as I realise it is easier for people to communicate via WhatsApp than email. You will receive an invite to this group once your entry has been received.
