  • 13th Jun, 2019 - Here's the 2nd and final infoletter of the tournament, containing more information e.g. of the schedule, public transportation and practicalities at the tournament venue. More details of the tournament format etc. per event will be discussed at the Player briefing, held each day ca. 45 mins before the first games start.

  • 14th May, 2019 - During the long tournament days players will need extra energy and healthy snacks. The local K-Supermarket Leppävaara in Espoo has promised to sponsor us just that! For Saturday and Sunday they will donate us bananas and apples which give you that little extra energy and help you to keep on going. Tässä taitotasoihin (skill-levels) perustuvassa turnauksessa pelataan naisten ja miesten kaksin- ja nelinpelit, sekä sekanelinpelit. Pickleball on hauskaa! Joten älä tule turhan vakavalla asenteella, vaan vietä mukava viikonloppu USA:n nopeimmin kasvavan urheilulajin parissa! Samalla tutustut muihin lajin harrastajiin ja opit lisää pelaamalla uusia kilpakumppaneita vastaan. Tervetuloa siis mukaan ikään ja taitotasoon katsomatta! Welcome to play in the Pickleball Finnish Open 2019 tournament in Espoo on 14-16 June! This is a skill-level tournament and we'll be playing Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles events. Pickleball is fun, so come along and enjoy the weekend by playing the fastest growing sport in America! You will also meet other players and learn a lot by playing against new opponents. Everyone is warmly welcome, regardless of their age or skill level. Please start your registration process by pressing the red "Sign Up" button (below). Excellent well organised competition. Lots of games no waiting and every game on time or early. It was great to know your games and results as they happened. The only thing that I can think of that is negative is the lack of bounce on court 8 but that is the same for both teams. Surface was otherwise very good as it was not slippery at all.

Thank you Tuomo, Eira and Jukka for all your hard work making the Finnish Open such a great tournament. It was good to meet more players from Finland as well as meeting up with old friends from other tournaments. I also loved the long days - being able to go out in the evening and still see the scenery was very special.
